4.17.21 Saturday Blast

Happy Saturday NCFF …
Wow, can you believe all the sunshine the North Coast of Oregon is basking in right now? Plus, there is warmth to it as well! Thank you, Jesus!
Sunshine lights the way out of dreary days and warmth is such a great thing to “feel” when you live in what is often a cold place. Warmth takes the chill out and makes you feel so comfy and cozy. It seems to me that the two, sunshine and warmth, should always go together in terms of weather and in terms of “church life” at NCFF. Our calling as brothers and sisters in Christ is to share together in providing a place where anyone can come to experience the light of God’s Word and the warmth of God’s heart.
This is one of the reasons why I am so excited for NCFF to be part of the ROOTED experience that we are currently engaged in together as a church. One of the goals of ROOTED is to shine light upon the truths of God’s Word in a context where the warmth of God’s love creates a “comfy – cozy” place to receive that truth and live it out. I have to tell you, Becky and I already feel so blessed to be learning more about Jesus in a small group of folks we are already love being with!
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing the Week Two Rooted message called, WHO IS GOD? Honestly, I am in earnest about answering this question for you. I deeply sense the need for it. Why? Because, let’s face it, God is the GREAT UNKNOWN to many (if not most) people in our society today. In one way or another, almost everyone I know has lifted their eyes skyward and asked, in some form or fashion, at key points in their lives … You out there, God?
Well, God is there, and He is there for you and me. In Hebrews 11:6, the Bible tells us this: Without faith it is impossible to please God. If you want to discover to God for yourself personally, then to find Him, you must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Who is God? You out there, God? The answer is “yes,” and He is BIGGER, BETTER and more BELIEVABLE than you or I have ever imagined. Personally, I want to know this God and I want to be “rewarded” by this God. I hope you do too because He’ll be at NCFF tomorrow. You can come meet Him! All you have to do is come looking for Him and His reward. 😊 Please join us onsite or online. We’ll be here with you, soaking up some sunshine and sharing in some warmth. Luv ya …
